Since 2021, students participating in Praxis Digital Badge programmes and the University-Wide Module have completed collaborative projects as the assessed assignment for these courses. Working outside their formal degree studies, students explored political, social, environmental and economic dimensions of global justice.
Working in groups, students were asked to connect theory with practice: to engage with relevant theoretical frameworks, investigate a chosen issue, take action, and reflect critically on what they learned. In a broadly Freirean tradition, projects have taken many forms, including Global Citizenship Education workshops, public talks and events, sustainability initiatives, environmental research, and collaborative work with NGOs and university partners, including Universidad Veracruzana in Mexico.
